세계적으로 유명한 폭포 가운데 한곳은 카나다의 토론토에 소재하는 나이야가라 폭포입니다. 나이야 가라 폭포는 카나다와 미국 국경에 소재하고 있는 폭포인데 , 이 폭포가 유명세를 타는 이유가운데 한가지 이유는 온타리오 라는 호수에서 엄청난 물이 유입되기 때문입니다.

One of the world's most famous waterfalls is Niyagara Falls in Toronto, Canada. Naiyagara Falls is a waterfall located on the border between Canada and the United States, and one of the reasons it's gaining popularity is because of the huge influx of water from a lake called Ontario.

이 온타리오 호수는 북미쪽의 유명한 5개의 호수중 한곳인데 온타리호 호수의 물이 나아야가라로 유입이 됩니다. 그런데 이 온타리오 호수는 그 크기가 무려 남한 면적의 4/1이나 되는 엄청난 크기를 자랑합니다. 여러분 폭포 크기가 얼마나 크냐하면 그 길이가 무려 800여 미터나 되고 폭포 높이는 50여미터에 육박합니다.

Lake Ontario is one of the five most famous lakes in North America, and the water from Lake Ontario flows into Nayagara. By the way, Lake Ontario boasts a huge size of 4/1 of the size of South Korea. Everyone, can you imagine how big it is? The size of the waterfall is about 800 meters long and the height of the waterfall is nearly 50 meters.

여러분 폭포의 길이가 800여미터가 된다고 했는데 길이를 한번 재어보니 우리 교회에서 롯데마트 까지만 해도 그 규모가 엄청난데 , 우리 교회에서 오천 파출소 까지 , 와우 대단합니다. 아닙니다 이정도의 규모가 아닙니다 . 우리 교회에서 우리 엽합병원 , 이것도 넘어 섭니다. 우리 교회에서 오천 초등학교 까지 , 그런데 놀라운 것은 우리 교회에서 오천초등학교 까지가 약 700m입니다. 그러니 거기로부터 100m 가야하니 그 규모가 얼마나 큰지 가히 상상을 할수 있겠죠.

Everyone, the waterfall is about 800 meters long, and I measured the length. You know how far the length of our church to Lotte Mart. Do you think the size of waterfall is as huge as from our church to the Ocheon police station? This is amazing enough, however, it is more than this scale. Do you think it is as huge as from our church to Woori hospital? But it's even beyond the Woori hospital. It's from our church to Ocheon Elementary School, but what is surprising is that our church to Ocheon Elementary School is about 700m. So you have to go 100 meters from there, so you can imagine how big it is.

제가 카나다 크리스쳔 칼리지에서 B/TH 공부를 하면서 호수 폭포 바로 옆에는 스카이온 이라는 타워가 있는데 그 높이가 무려 236미터나 됩니다. 그 스카이론 타워 꼭대기 전망대 레스토랑에서 양고기 갈비와 숩을 여유롭게 먹으며 나이야가라를 바라보는 장면은 정말 , 말로 표현할 수 없는 운치와 감동 그리고 여유를 느낄 수 있습니다.

While I was studying B/TH at Christian College in Canada, there is a tower called Skyon right next to Lake Falls, which is 236 meters tall. The scene where you look at Niyagara while eating lamb ribs and soup at the observatory restaurant on the top of Skylon Tower gives you an indescribable taste, emotion, and relaxation.

제가 오늘 여러분들에게 이 웅장한 나이야 가라 폭포 이야기를 꺼내며 서론으로 말씀드리는 이유는 여행에 대한 이야기를 하기 위함입니다. 지구촌 곳곳에 가볼곳이 얼마나 많은지 모릅니다. 아름다운 곳도 많고 기암괴석의 형언할 수 없는 멋진곳도 많고 , 또한 북극 남극 극지방의 오로라와 남태평양 한가운데 마치 지상 낙원처럼 꾸며진 그런 휴양지도 있고 또한 남미 아르헨티나 , 스페인 ,등등의 나 자신을 찾아낼 수 있는 그런 둘레길도 있습니다.

The reason why I'm introducing this magnificent Naiyagara Falls to you today is to talk about travel. There are countless places to visit all over the world. There are many beautiful places, indescribable places full of strange rocks, resorts decorated like a paradise in the middle of the Arctic, Antarctic and South Pacific. Also, there are winding roads around Argentina, Spain, etc. where you can discover yourself.

배낭하나 턱 둘러메고 ,지나온 인생여정도 한번 돌아보고 또한 앞으로 어떻게 살아야 할는지 하는 ~~아주 한가롭게 길을 걷는다는 것 정말 즐거운일 아닐까요 ? 언제 그런 여행을 꿈꾸고 계획하고 또한 그렇게 도전하는 일이 현실에서 이루어 지시길 주님의 이름으로 축원드립니다.

Don't you think it's fun to walk around with a backpack, look back on the journey of your life, and see how you should live in the future? I pray in the name of the Lord that when such a trip will be dreamed, planned, and challenged in reality.

자~ 그런데 여행을 하지 않고도 여행에 버금가는 여행법이 있는데 그것은 책을 읽는 것입니다. 책을 읽고 책속에 심취하다 보면 우리는 어느듯 검브스레한 적송(赤松)이 빼~곡한 그 오솔길 한가운데를 산책하고 있는 착각을 일으킵니다. 또한 쪽~쭉~빵빵 시원스럽게 곧게 뻗은 왕대나무 숲을 배경으로 나지막하고 아담한 초가집 앞에 따스한 봄볕을 맞이할수도 있습니다.

But there's a way to travel that's comparable to traveling without having to travel, and that's reading a book. When we read a book and get immersed in it, we create the illusion of taking a walk in the middle of the path, which is full of dark red pine trees. You can also enjoy the warm spring sun in front of the low and small thatched house against the background of the long, satisfyingly straight bamboo grove.

아담한 초가집 앞에 앉아 솔솔 불어오는 봄바람을 만끽하면서 봅볓 가득한 향기가 느껴지지 않습니까 ? 오늘 저는 예배에 나오신 여러분들에게 세계 3대 폭포수인 나이야가라는 아닐지라도 , 빼곡한 왕대 숲은 아닐지라도 , 따스한 봄볕을 쬐며 솔솔 불어오는 봄바람의 초가집 마당은 아닐지라도 특별한 한가지 행복 여행지를 소개하려고 합니다

Sitting in front of a small thatched house and enjoying the spring breeze, can't you feel the scent of the sun? For those of you who attended today's service, I’d like to introduce a special one happy place to visit, even thought it is not the world's top three waterfalls, Naiyagara, or a dense forest, or a meadow of spring breeze blowing in the warm spring sun.

여러분 여행떠나실 준비가 되어있나요 ? 옷도 챙기도 세면도구도 챙기도 , 핸드폰 충전기도 챙기시고 뭐 ~~챙긴다고요 아하~` 고추장 , 네 좋습니다, 고추장 에 컵라면도 챙기시야죠 . 그리고 봉다리 커피도요. 하여튼 잘 챙기십시오.

Are you ready to go on a trip? You can pack clothes, toiletries, cell phone chargers, and so on. Gochujang? yes, of course go a head! Oh you should pack gochujang and also cup noodles! And instant coffee as well. Anyway, pack your bags well.

성경은 우리 인생을 정의할때 여행에 비유하곤 합니다. 인생은 여행이다는 것입니다. 여행을 다른 말로 하면 소풍이라고 할수 있죠. 특별히 우리 그리스도인들에게 있어 인생은 여행에 비유할 수 있습니다. 사람이 죽으면 ‘죽었다’는 표현보다 ‘돌아가셨다’는 표현을 보더라도 우리 인생은 이 지구촌에 잠시 여행왔다. 라고 볼 수 있습니다.

When the Bible defines our lives, it is often compared to travel. Life is a journey. In other words, a trip is a picnic. Life can be compared to travel, especially for us Christians. Through an expression "passed away" rather than "dead", it can be said that out lives have traveled to this global village for a while.

여행갈때는 이민 가는것과 달리 간단하고 ,아주 간소하게 떠납니다. 이민을 간다면 이것 저것 챙길것이 많습니다. 그러나 여행을 떠나는 사람들은 최소의 생활용품 으로 최대의 행복효과를 누릴 것을 기대합니다. 그래서 여행은 즐거운 것입니다. 본문 10절을 함께 읽을까요 ?

Unlike immigration, people leave with simple packs. There are so many things to pack if you immigrate. However, those who go on a trip expect to enjoy the maximum happiness with the minimum amount of goods. That's why traveling is fun. Shall we read verse 10 together?

여행을 위하여 ....라고 서두는 시작됩니다. 먼저 오늘 우리는 이 지구촌에 이주한 것이 아니라 , 지구에 대한민국에 경북 포항시 오천읍에 여행 온것이라는 생각의 정립이 중요합니다. 여러분 우리가 살고 있는 이곳은 영~~원히 거주할 곳이 아닙니다. 여행가는 사람들의 마음은 매우 즐겁습니다. 왜입니까 ? 여행 가니까 ? 소풍가니까 ? 영원히 살곳이 아니니까 ?

It starts with “for the journey..”. First of all, it is important to establish the idea that we did not move to this global village, but traveled to Ocheon-eup, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea. Everyone, where we live is not a place to live forever. Travelers' minds are very joyful. Why? Because we're going on a trip? Because we're not going on a picnic?

여행가는 가는 사람은 욕심을 부리지 않습니다. 오늘 본문은 여행가는 사람은 “ 배낭이나 두 벌 옷이나 신이나 지팡이”를 가지지 않는다고 했습니다. 대부분 한국인들 특별히 한국여성들은 여행을 가면 가방 가득히 옷으로 채워 가는 경향들이 있더라고요? 그리고 몇일 머무는 동안 계속해서 옷이 바뀝니다. 그리고 매일 바뀐 예쁜 옷을 입고 사진으로 검증 촬영을 합니다. 뭐 그렇다고해서 나쁜것인가요? ~ 아닙니다. 나쁘지 않습니다.

Travelers don't get greedy. Today's text says travelers don't have a backpack or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff. Most Koreans, especially Korean women, tend to fill their bags with clothes when they travel. And the clothes keep changing for a few days. They take pictures with changed pretty clothes every day in a sense of verification. Is it a bad thing? No, it isn’t bad.

예쁜 옷입고 , 멋지게 꾸미고 , 여러분 집집마다 가구안에 옷들이 가득합니다. 옷방에 옷이 천지빼가리입니다. 그러나 여행은 아주 조금의 옷만 가지고 갑니다. 좋습니다.

They wear pretty clothes, dress up nicely... Everyone, there are full of clothes in a furniture of everyone’s house. Clothes are everywhere in the closet. But the trip takes only a few clothes. Good.

여행가면 이것 저것 구매하지 않습니다. 현지의 상인들이 긍휼의 눈길을 보내며 도움을 요청할 때 어쩔수 없이 긍휼로 구매하는 경우가 있지만 요즘 국내에 판매되는 상품들이 워낙 럭서리 하고 , 좋은 상품들이 많으니 굳이 여행가서 코리끼표 밥솥을 사고 여행가서 물품 한보따리 구입하는 것은 옛날 이야기입니다. 여하간에~ 여행은 즐거움과 행복입니다.
