Scripture: Ephesians 6:21~24 Title : Paul’s recommendation

엡6:21. 나의 사정 곧 내가 무엇을 하는지 너희에게도 알게 하려 하노니 사랑을 받은 형제요 주 안에서 진실한 일군인 두기고가 모든 일을 너희에게 알게 하리라 
22. 우리 사정을 알게 하고 또 너희 마음을 위로하게 하기 위하여 내가 특별히 저를 너희에게 보내었노라 
23. 아버지 하나님과 주 예수 그리스도에게로부터 평안과 믿음을 겸한 사랑이 형제들에게 있을지어다 
24. 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 변함 없이 사랑하는 모든 자에게 은혜가 있을지어다 
21. Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. 
22. I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you. 
23. Peace to the brothers, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 
24. Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. 
21. 今有所亲爱、忠心事奉主的兄弟推基古，他要把我的事情，並我的景况如何全告诉你们，叫你们知道。
22. 我特意打发他到你们那裏去，好叫你们知道我们的光景，又叫他安慰你们的心。
23. 愿平安、仁爱、信心、从父神和主耶稣基督归与弟兄们！
24. 並愿所有诚心爱我们主耶稣基督的人都蒙恩惠！
 

 
  전북 김제시 금산리에 가면 ‘ㄱ자 교회’로 알려진 금산교회가 있습니다. 이 교회에는 뭉클하게 감동오는 교회의 역사를 가지고 있습니다.  한국땅에 복음이 처음 들어왔을 때 레위스 테이드 선교사님이 전북 김제 지역에 와서  복음을 전했습니다.
  In Jeon Book, KimJae, Keum San Ri there is one church that has a warm history. The story is about the years when the first gospel entered Korea through missionary Lewis Tade in the are of Jeon Book.

  당시 전북 김재 금산리에는 가장 큰 부자인 조덕삼이라는 사람이 선교사님의 전도를 받고 예수를 믿게 되었고 또한 자신의 사랑채에서 예배를 드릴 수 있게 했습니다.  부자 조덕삼의 집에는 말을 끄는 마부 이자익이라는 청년이 일하고 있었는데 주인 조덕삼 덕분에 예수를 믿게 됐습니다.
  In those days a very rich man name Cho Deok Sam believed in Jesus and gave all of his wealth for the church to praise God. In his house there was a young man, a slave, named Lee Ja Ik working for him, who also believed in God.

  교회가 점점 부흥하게 되어 장로를 세워야 했습니다.  그런데 공교롭게도 주인인 조덕삼과 그 집에 하인으로 일하는 마부인 이자익이 함께 경쟁을 하게 됐습니다. 그런데 놀랍게도 장로 투표에서  주인은 떨어져 버리고 마부 청년 이자익이 장로로 피택 됐습니다.
 The church got bigger so they wanted to raise elders. Surprisingly, the candidates were the owner Cho Deok Sam and his slave Lee Ja Ik. The vote reveal different results, Lee was chosen as the first elder of that church.

  그런데 더욱 놀라운 것은 주인 조덕삼은 자신의 집에서 말을 관리하는 하인이 장로가 된 것을 하나님의 뜻으로 받아들였습니다.  조덕삼은 자신의 집에서는 이자익이 하인이고 마부지만 교회에서는 장로님이었습니다.  그래서 조덕삼은  하인이었던  이자익을 장로님으로 깍듯이 모셨습니다.  물론 이자익 또한 교회에서는 장로지만  집에돌아오면 언제나 마부로 성실하게 일했습니다.
 But more surprisingly Cho understood and received his slave Lee as an elder. So Cho treated him as an elder at the church and he respected him. Also, Lee respected him as his owner when he was at home.

  부자 주인인  조덕삼은 주일날 선교사님이 오지 못할 때 이자익 청년으로 하여금 설교하게 했고, 자신은 마루에 무릎을 꿇고 집중하여 설교를 들었습니다.  조덕삼은 설교를 듣는중  많은 은혜를 받았습니다.  그리고는 이자익을 평양신학교로 보내서 공부를 시키게 되었습니다.
 Cho made Lee do the sermon instead of the missionary when he couldn't participate, and he was on his knees when he was listening to Lee. Cho was favored of the sermon. And Cho let Lee study in the Pyung Yang Theological school.

  그리고 시간이지나  조덕삼은 금산교회 제 2대 장로가 되어 성실하게 교회를 섬겼습니다. 드디어 이자익 청년은  신학공부가 마쳤습니다 그리고는  다시 금산교회로 청빙을 받게 되어 목사로 섬겼습니다. 
 Later Cho become the second elder of this church and Lee finilized his studies. Lee came back to the church and became the pastor of the church.

  부자 주인이었던  조덕삼 장로는 최선을 다해 이자익 목사님을 뒷바라지 했습니다.  부자 주인인 조덕삼 장로는 참 겸손했습니다.  장로님의 적극적인 지원과 후원으로 교회는 날로 부흥되었고  마침내 이자익 목사님은 조선 기독교를 이끄는 총회장이 됐고, 그것도 세 번이나 다시 총회장으로 세움 받게 되었습니다.
 Cho respected Lee and took care of the new pastor because Cho was very modest. Cho worked a lot for the church and the church became more bigger. Pastor Lee became one of the Korean church leaders and he was chosen as the general president of Christian churches for 3 times.

  그렇습니다. 이자익 목사님은 조덕삼 장로님이 없었다면 존재할 수 없었습니다. 조덕삼 장로님의 사랑의 뒷바라지가 있었기에 총회장이 되어 큰 일을 할 수 있었습니다. 할렐루야!
 Pastor Lee wouldn't have exists if elder Cho wasn't there. Cho did everything and cared for Lee and finally Lee became the leader who worked so much for the Chirstianity. Hallelujah

    사도바울은  에베소 교회에 보내는 서신의 마지막 부분에 한 사람을 소개하고 있습니다  그사람의 이름은 두기고입니다.  두기고를  에베소서를 장식하는 마당에 소개한 이유가 무엇일까요 ?  에베소서의 주제가 ‘교회론’ 이라 했습니다.  저와 여러분들이 올바른 교회론을 가지는 것은 매우 중요한 일입니다.  그런 상황가운데 두기고를  언급한 것은  매우 의미있는 일입니다.
 Paul is introducting one person in the letter he sent to the Ephesian Church. His name is Tychicus. Why is he introducing Tychicus? The main key of the book of Ephesians is the church. It is very important to have the right concept of the church. Thus it is very important why it is talking about Tychicus.

 먼저 21절 서두를 보면 이렇게 기록하고 있습니다 “엡6:21 나의 사정 곧 내가 무엇을 하는지 너희에게도 알게 하려 하노니” 사도바울은  하나님께서 교회를 어떻게 세워나가는가를 필역하고 있고 그 중심부에 사도바울의 교회 중심 사역을 소개하고 있습니다  그 가운데  한사람을 소개한다는 것은 바울의 교회중심사역의 모범이 될수 있는 그러한 모델적 케이스로 소개한다고 볼수 있습니다.
 First, the verse 21 is saying “ so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. ” Paul is talking about how to raise a church and how Paul is doing. and he introduces someone that can be the model of what Paul was doing at those times. 

그렇다면  교회 중심사역의 모델적 케이스로 소개하는 두기고는 어떤 사람입니까 ?
Now who is this model Tychicus who is being the representative case of Paul?

1. 사랑 받는 형제였습니다.
He was loved by everyone.

  오늘 본문 21절에 보니까 ? ‘사랑을 받은 형제요라고 소개하고 있습니다.  두기고’는 사랑을 받는 일꾼이었습니다.  그렇다면 두기고가 사도바울뿐만 아니라 다른 사람에게까지 사랑을 받는 이유는 무엇입니까?  사랑을 받았다는 의미는 , 다른 사람들로부터 사랑 받는 행동을 했다 라고 생각할수 있지만 결국  두기도가 사랑받는 사람이라는 것은  자신이 다른 사람들로부터 사랑을 받는 것 보다 다른 사람들을 더 사랑했기 때문이다 라고 생각할수 있습니다.
  The verse 21 describes him as “dear brother”. Tychicus was a very dilligent man. why Tychicus and also Paul was loved from everyone? To be loved means that they did act in the way that people liked, but also means that they give love to others more than receiving.

    하나님께 사랑받는 사람은 결국 하나님을 사랑하기 때문에 사랑을 받는 것입니다.  그래서 요한 복음 14장 21절은  “나의 계명을 가지고 지키는 자라야 나를 사랑하는 자니 나를 사랑하는 자는 내 아버지께 사랑을 받을 것이요 나도 그를 사랑하여 그에게 나를 나타내리라  ” 고 말씀하고 있습니다.
 The man who is loved by God is because the man loves God. John 14:21 says “Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

  결국 저와 여러분들이 사람들로부터 사랑받는 이유는  하나님의 말씀을 지키고 그 말씀을 따라 살고  그뜻을 이루기 위해 사는 삶을 대변하는 것입니다.  두기고가 사랑을 받았다는 것은 하나님의뜻을 받들고 교회를 세워나가기 위해 최선의 삶을 살았던 것입니다.
 Thus, the reason why we are loved from others and why we do listen and do what God wants is because we are living the life to do what God wants. the reason why Tychicus was loved is because he did everything he could for God’s will.

  교회는 공동체입니다. 공동체라는 의미는  동역을 의미합니다.  동지라는 말이죠  기쁘고 즐거운 일이 있을때에도 함께 하지만 슬프고 어려운 일이 있을때에도 함께 하는 것이 동역자 동지의 의미입니다. 
 A church is a community. Community means to be together. Being together means, to be together in the good and the sad and the difficulties.

  "두기고"의 이름의 뜻은 [유쾌함]이라는 뜻입니다.  두기고는 그 이름의 뜻과 같이 같이 하나님을 기쁘게 하고 다른 사람들에게도 유쾌함 즉 기쁨을 주는 삶을 살아갔던 것을 알 수 있습니다.  특별히  바울이  두기고를  에베소서가 마감하는 이시점에 교회론적 관점에서  그를 모델로 염두에 두고 이렇게 소개한 이유가 무엇입니까 ?  그것은 바울이  선교사역을 감당하다가 로마 감옥에 투옥되었고 그 일로 말미암아  낙심과 절망에 빠질수 있음에도  두기고는 바울이 옥중생활의 어려움에게  이겨나갈수 있도록  늘  유쾌함을 준 사람이라는 사실을 알수 있습니다
 Tychicus menas pleasant. Tychicus as his name says was making God pleasant of him and also make others happy. Especially why is Paul talking about Tychicus in the end of the book of Ephesians? It was because Paul was having difficulties as he was in prison while he delivered the Gospel in Rome but Tychicus might have make him laugh and enjoy.

  대부분의 사람들은 성공하는 사람들에게 가까이 하기를 좋아 합니다. 하지만 사업에 실패하거나 어려움을 당하고 있는 사람들에게는 외면하는 것이 인간의 마음입니다.  예수님은  마음이 상하고 , 세상에서 실패하고 낙심하고 절망하고 , 또한 사회로부터 지탄을 받고  고난 당하는 사람들의 위로자가 되어고 기쁨이 되었고 희망이 되셧습니다.  저와 여러분들에게도 이러한 은혜가 넘치시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원드립니다.
 Most of the people want to be with people who succeeded. But they don't want to be with people who failed. Jesus was the happiness, the hope and console to the sad people, people who failed and were disappointed of life, those who were hated by the world, those who were in difficulties.

  두기고가  유쾌한 사람이며 바울에게 기쁨을 주었던 그 힘의 원천이 어디에서 나왔을까요 ?  21절은  두기고가 사랑받는 사람 사람이라고 소개했습니다.  사랑을 받는 다는 의미를  하나님으로부터 사랑을 받지 않고 다른 사람을 사랑할수 있을까요 ?
 Now from where Tychicus could make the pleasant part? the verse 21 introduces him as a dear brother. Can we be loved from God even we don't love others?

  두기고는 끊임없는 하나님의사랑을 공급받고 그 사랑의 힘으로 살아갔던 것입니다.  하나님으로부터 받는 사랑이 힘이 하나님으로부터  받는 사랑의 통로가 두기고로 하여금 사랑의 사람으로 살게한 것입니다  끊임없이 다른 사람을 위로하고 다른 사람에게  즐거움과 기쁨을 주었던 원천은  하나님의 사랑의 힘입니다.  하나님의 사랑의  배려입니다 할렐루야!!
 Tychicus continuously received God’s love and he was living his life through that power. Being loved by God let him be the bridge of love to others. He could console others and give enjoy to others through the power of God. God’s love is consideration. Hallelujah.

두기고를  바울이 에베소서 특별히  교회중심 사역을 소개하면서  그를 소개한 이유는  그의 손발이 되어 주의 교회를 섬기는데 뜻을 같이 했기 때문입니다.  바울이 제 3차 전도여행을 하면서 동행했던 사람은  두기고 였습니다.    두기고는 원래 에베소 사람이었습니다  그러한 그가 바울의 전도를 받고  크리스챤이되었습니다.
  The reason why especially Tychicus was introduced while introducing the main church ministry in Ephesians was because Tychicus was with him during those times. Tychicus was with Paul when Paul was doing his thrid missionary trip. Tychicus was an Ephesian man but he became christian through Paul.

 2. 진실한 일꾼이었습니다.
 2. He was a faithful servant.

  오늘 본문 21절은 두기고를 소개할 때  “ 주 안에서 진실한 일군인 두기고”
라고 소개하고 있습니다 ‘두기고’는 신실한 일꾼입니다. 신약성경에는 두기고에 대해 5번 나옵니다.
 The verse 21 also says that Tychicus was “a faithful servant in the Lord” Tychicus he was a faithful servant and the New Testament talks about him for 5 times.

오늘 본문에 엡6:21절에 보면 " 나의 사정 곧 내가 무엇을 하는지 너희에게도 알리려 하노니 사랑을 받은 형제요  주안에서 진실한 일꾼인 두기고가 모든 일을 너희 에게 알게 하리라." 고 했습니다.
 The verse 21 says “Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. ”

  바울은  이와 같이 로마 감옥에 갇혀 있는 바울을 소식을  소아시아 지역의 교회에 알려 주기를 원햇습니다.  바울이 로마의 감옥안에 갖혀있는 동안에  바울은  옥중서신  에베소 , 빌립보, 골로세, 빌리몬에 보낼 서신을 기록하고  그리고 그 서신을  두기고를 통해 전달하였습니다.
 Paul wanted to tell to the people in Asian Minor about Paul who was in prison. Paul wrote several books like Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Philemon and delivered it through Tychicus.

  두기고를 통해  에베소 ,빌립보 , 골로세, 빌레몬의 서신을 보낸다는 의미는  두기고가 얼마나  오랜 세월동안 바울의 감옥생활을 도와 진실되게 그를 섬기며 협력했는가 하는 것을 알 수 있습니다.  이것은  두기고의 성실성 입니다.  성실은  진실한 마음에 출발합니다. 
 Delivering his books Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Philemon through Tychicus means how near Tychicus was to Paul to support him. This means that Tychicus was very faithful and diligent man with a sincere heart.
 
 보편적으로 일반적인 사람들은  어떤 일을 행할 때 용두사미(龍頭蛇尾)격으로 일을 벌입니다.  처음에는  크게 , 사람들 보기에 거창하게 시작을 합니다.  그러나 얼마 있지 않으면  그 존재 마져도 사라져 버리는 아쉬움 들이 있습니다.  그러나  오늘 본문의 두기고는  성실한 사람 이었습니다.  그가 성실하다는 의미가 진실성에서 나온다는 것입니다.
 Normally, people end up in an anticlimax when they work. They start things like they were really big but they before long those things just disappear. but Tychicus of today’s scripture was a very faithful man, which means that he was very sincere.

  결국  진실(眞實) 하다는 의미는 믿음의 사람이라는 의미입니다.  진실의 시작은 하나님을 경외하는 믿음에서 출발합니다.  믿음이 있어야 진실해 집니다. 
 To be sincere means that the person has faith. because sincere comes from the heart of having fear to God. We can be sincere when we have faith.

  바울은 로마 감옥 안에서 기록한 영감 충만한 서신들을  에베소 , 빌립보, 골로세 , 빌레몬에게 전달하는 중요한 일을 누구에게 맡길까 ? 하고 고민하던 가운데 평소 진실하게 자신을 도와 교회사역에 헌신했던  ‘두기고’를 떠올렸던 것입니다.
 Trough who Paul delivered his books like Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Philemon ? He might have thought about Tychicus at the first moment.

  그러므로 교회의 직분맡은 자들은 변덕스러운 사람이 되어서는 않됩니다.  하나님께서 나를 충성되이 여기 직분을 맡겼다는 사실에 감동하면서  무슨 일을 맡겨도 변함없이 충성스럽게 감당하는 것이 매우 중요합니다.
 This is why the people who are selected as workers in the church should not be unpredictable people. God likes people who can work with fidelity, do everything that God wants that person to do.

  특히 위대한 믿음의 사람 뒤에는 분명히 신실한 일꾼이 함께 있었습니다. 모세에게는 여호수아와 갈렙, 아론과 훌이 있었고, 다윗에게는 가드사람 잇대와 후새가 있었습니다. 그리고 사도바울에게는 이처럼 신실한 믿음의 형제요  동역자요  주님의 충실한 일꾼인 두기고가 있었다는 것입니다.  진실이라는 단어가  얼마나 중요한가는  신구약 성경에 무려 785회나 기록하고 있습니다.    결국 믿음의 사람들의 특징은 진실됨입니다.
 Faithful people are always near leaders. Moses was with Joshua Galeb, Aron was with Hol, David was with Itdae and Husae from Gade. Saul was with the dear brother and friend Tychicus. The bible talks about the importance of being faithful for over 785 times. Thus, the characteristic of people with faith is that they are faithful.

  그렇습니다. 하나님의 좋은 일꾼은 오늘 바울이 교회를 세워 나가는데  교회사역 중심으로 가치가 정립되고 어떤 일을 맡겨도  충성되이 그 일을 감당하는 두기고와 같은 존재가 되어야 합니다  그러한 은혜가 충만하시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원드립니다.
 We all have to be good workers for God that can help to churches like Paul raised to do all the things and works they have to do. I hope you all in the name of Jesus.

    경기도 어떤 교회에  시무하는 목사님이 목회자가 되기 전입니다.  고목사님이 처음 예수 믿을 때, 교회 건축도하고 교회에서 여러 가지 행사들을 할 때 마다 그 청년은 단 한차례도 빠지지 않고 참석 했다고 했습니다.
 This is a story about one pastor before he become a pastor of one church located in KyungKido. When he was young and started to believe in God, he participated in every event of the church.

  당시 젊은 선생은 몸이 약했지만  그렇다고 해서 교회에서 맡긴  교사나 성가대를 한번도 빠진 일이 없었습니다,  심지어 교회에 가장 어렵고 하기 싫은 봉사가 화장실 청소인데  고훈 선생은 늘  화장실 청소를 도맡아 했다는 것입니다
 He was a weak but he was never absent to any event or his duty. Also as cleaning the bathroom is difficult he always did clean the church’s bathroom.

  하루는  교회 화장실을 청소하고 수제비를 끊여서 먹는데  ,  당시 몸이 좋지 않았던 젊은 선생은 밀가루 음심을 먹지 못해  굶고 있는데  그 성도들 한사람이  교회에서 급하게 달려 나갑니다 
 One day after cleaning, they were eating SooJaebi which is a noodle food. This young man who was weak couldn't eat any flour based food but suddenly one person ran out of the church.

  알고 보니 그 성도는  교회에서 가까이  살고 있는 성도인데 젊은 선생이 몸이 좋지 않는 상황에도 교회 어려운 일을 맡아 하고 ,  봉사를 하는 모습에  감동이 되었고 더욱이  몸이 좋지 않아 밀가루 음식을 먹지 못하는 사실에 놀래 집으로 달려간 것입니다.  그리고 자신의 집에 전기 밥솥에서  공기밥을 한그릇 들고 달려 온것입니다.
 The thing was that the person who ran out was living near the church and knew about the young man was weak and did all the work of the church. And also that the young man couldn't eat any flour based food. So this person went home and brought some rice.

 작은 정성이지만 ,  교회를 생각하는 성도들이 공동체로써 아름다운 관계가 유지되었고 , 결국  젊은 선생은  목회자의 길을 걷게 된것입니다,  교회를 생각하고  교회를 사랑하는 것이 얼마나  중요한 사역인지를 깨닫게 하는 것입니다. 
 It wasn't a big deal, but through this one action the church could build a beautiful relationship, and later this young man could become a pastor. This is a story of how important is to care about the church and love the church.

  이러한 귀한 깨달음이 있기를 주님의 이름 으로 축원드립니다.
 I hope you all realize this in the name of Jesus.

3. 특별한 사람 두기고 , 위로의 사람 두기고
2. Specail man Tychicus, man of comfort Tychicus

  오늘 본문 22절은 바울이 두기고를 에베소 교회에 보낸 특별한 이유를 설명하고 있습니다. 다함께 읽습니다. 
 The verse 22 Paul is explaining the reason why he sent Tychicus to the Ephesian church. Let’s read together.


22. 우리 사정을 알게 하고 또 너희 마음을 위로하게 하기 위하여 내가 특별히 저를 너희에게 보내었노라 
22. I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you. 
22. 我特意打发他到你们那裏去，好叫你们知道我们的光景，又叫他安慰你们的心。
 

 
  바울이 두기고를 에베소에 보내는 특별한 또 한가지 이유는 그는 우리 사정을알게 하고  또 너희 마음을 위로하게 하기 위함이라고 했습니다,  그리고 마지막 부분은 특별히 두기고를 보내었다고 기록합니다.
  The purpose was to make you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you. and says that he is especially sending Tychicus.

  두기고를 보내는 이유는 특별한 이유가 있다는 것입니다.  우리 사정을 알게하고 영어성경에는 22. I am sending him to you for this very purpose, 아멘 바울이 두기고를 보내는 이유는  두기고는 바울이 목적하는 분명한 목표  에베소교회의 목표  purpose,를 잘 이해 했다는 것입니다.  바울은 purpose,를 이해하는 정도가 매우 탁월했다는 것입니다.  그래서 오늘 본문은  for this very purpose, 라고 기록합니다. 
 There was a special reason of sending Tychicus. The NIV says I am sending him to you for this very purpose. The reason why Paul was sending him to the Ephesian church was because Paul had a specially purpose. This is why the bible is saying for this very purpose.

  두기고는  에베소 교회를 세워가는 바울의 사역의 핵심멤버로 교회가 무엇이 필요한지  어떻게 해야 교회에 유익이 되는지  , 교회는 어떤 목적을 가지고 있는데 그 목표를 달성하려면 어떤 프로잭트를 진행해야 하는지에 대한 분명한  기술력 이해도 실행 추진력 등등을 가지고 있었던 성도였습니다.
 Tychicus, was one of the first member who helped Paul to raise a church, he knew what he had to do, what is good for the church, what should be the goal of a church, what projects to implement to get the goal,what kind of understanding and implementations they need.

  할렐루야!
  Hallelujah
    뿐만아니었습니다. 바울이  두기고를 추천한데는  단순한 목표 지향적이고 목적 지향적인 성도의 성향을 가진 것 뿐이 아니었습니다.  다른 각도에서  두기고의 목표지향적이고 목적지향적인  성향을  교회론적 관점에서 본다면 ,  하나님의 뜻을 이루고 하나님께서 바울을 통해 명하신 그 뜻을 이루기에 충분하 이해도를 가지고 있다고 볼수 있습니다.
  Moreover, there was a very big purpose why Paul recommended Tychicus. In other sight, Tychicus, was a man with purpose but if we see in the side of the church, he was a man who understood very well what they have to do to make God’s will.

  저와 여러분들이 교회로써 하나님의 뜻을 충분히 이해하고 그뜻을 이루기 위한  목표와 목적을 이해한다면 오늘 여러분들은 이시대의 두기고와 같은 존재입니다.  잠언 25:13절에는 하나님의 뜻을 잘이해하는 두기고와 같은 성도를 두고 이렇게 말합니다. 함께 읽습니다.
  If we all understand why the church and how the chruch is working for God’s will and if we understand all of the goals we are like Tychicus of this era. Psalms 25:13 talks about people like Tychicus who understood very well about God. Let’s read together.


13. 충성된 사자는 그를 보낸 이에게 마치 추수하는 날에 얼음 냉수 같아서 능히 그 주인의 마음을 시원케 하느니라 
13. Like the coolness of snow at harvest time is a trustworthy messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the spirit of his masters. 
13. 忠信的使者叫差他的人心裏舒畅，就如在收割时有冰雪的凉气


 
 아멘 .  바울이 특별히 두기고를 에베소 교회에 보낸 이유는  두기고가  에베소 교회를 통해 하나님께서 원하시는 뜻을 충분히 이해하고 그 뜻을 이루기 위한 목표를 설정하고 또한 그 일을 추진하고 목적을 달성하는데 동역했기 때문입니다. 
Amen. The reason why Tychicus was sent was because Tychicus, could do what God wants him to do for the Ephesains church. Tychicus, had knowledge and he knew what God wanted and also he had worked with Paul for a long time.

  바울이 두기고를 특별히 생각하고 에베소 교회에 보낸이유를 오늘 본문에서는 한가지 더 추가 하고 있습니다.  엡6:22절 말씀을 다시한번 보십시오.
 Moreover, there is one more reason why Paul thought of him very special. Let’s read verse 22 again.


22. 우리 사정을 알게 하고 또 너희 마음을 위로하게 하기 위하여 내가 특별히 저를 너희에게 보내었노라 
22. I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you. 
22. 我特意打发他到你们那裏去，好叫你们知道我们的光景，又叫他安慰你们的心。
 


 아멘 Amen.

두기고는 어떤 인물이었는가? 그는 다른 사람을 위로 하기에 충분한 사람입니다.  영어성경 후반절에 보니 that he may encourage you. 아멘 .  그는 다른 사람들을 돌보고 , 섬기고 그들의 어려움을 이해하고 나아가 그들을 잘 상담해서  하나님의 교회로써 온전하고 의연하게 설수 있도록  그들을 돕는 조력자 , 카운슬러 , 헬퍼 , 그리고 바울의 동역자로 역할을 감당했던 것입니다.
 Who was Tychicus? He was a man enough to be loved. The NIV says that he may encourage you. He was a man who took care about others, he counselled others to stand in front of God, he was a helper, counselor and a friend of Paul.

 현대 사회는 매우 다변화 되고 복잡하고  또한 많은 사람들의 감성이 과거에 비해 메마르고 탁합니다.  그러니 자연적으로 메마르고 탁한  감성을 조금만이라도 자극하면  상처가 쉽게 납니다. 
 The ordinary world changed so much, it is complicated and the heart of people are all dry. This is why a little hurt becomes a big wound.

  말한마디로  온종일 기분을 상하게 하고 , 행동 하나로 평생 원수가 되는 그런 시대가 오늘날 현대를 살아가는 저와 여러분들의 현주소입니다.  두기고를 바울이  영감충만한 성령의 고백으로 에베소 교회에 소개하는 것은  오늘 이시대에 저와 여러분들이 두기고처럼 살아야 한다는  멧세지입니다.
 One single word can make bad the feelings of others, one single action can make enemies this is the way that we live today. The reason why Paul is introducing Tychicus as the very faithful man is because it means we also have to live like Tychicus. That is the message.

  많은 사람들이  마음이 메마르고 , 거칠고 , 상처가 나있고 , 힘겨워 합니다.  이러한 시대에  그들을 위로할 사람들이 오늘 바로 교회된 저와 여러분들의 역할이며  교회의 목표라는 것입니다.  특별히 우리가 섬기는 경동교회의 사역의 형태를 보면  , 경동교회는 두기고와 같은  위로에 넉넉한 사람들이 필요하다 라는 것을 절실히 느낍니다.
 A lot of people have hard hearts, they are rough, they are hurt and they feel burdened. And the people who can consloe this kind of people are us, and it is the goal of a church. Especially in our KyungDong church, we really need more people like Tychicus.

  유난히 사람들로부터 상처를 많이 받고 , 어려움에 처하고 , 메마른 심령 때문에 힘겨워 하십니까?  그렇다면  ‘하나님의 주권적 섭리’ 라는 클 틀을 가지고 한번 생각해 보십시오.  하나님 !! 왜 !! 하필 !! 나입니까? 
 Are you having difficult times because of any hurt, any difficulties and dry heart? Then thing about the sovereign providence of God. God why me?

  다른 사람들도 많이 있잖아요!~  그런데  다른 각도로 한번 바라보십시오.  현제 저와 여러분들이 처해 있는 현주소 보다 더 어렵고 힘든 상황속에 처한 사람들 말입니다.  정작 위로받고 ,  정작 도움을 받아야 될사람들은 너무 많습니다.  저와 여러분들이  현제 상황에서 어렵고 힘듭니까?  그렇다면 십자가를 바라보면 인내하십시오.
 There are so many people in this world but why me? Look at the situation like this. This is what people who are in more difficult situation would say. There are so many people who really need help and consolation. Are we in difficult situations? Then look at the cross and have patience.

 예수님은 하루종일 사역을 하시고 , 좀 쉴만하면  또 사람들이 찿아오고 , 문제를 가지고 오고 ,어려움을 호소하고 그럼에도 불구하고 예수님은 늘 그들에게  위로자가 되셨습니다. 예수님은 늘 그들에게 도움자가 되셨습니다.  넉넉하고 풍성하고 언제나 넘치는 위로가 예수님께는 가득했습니다.
 Jesus did his ministry all day, even if He wanted to take a rest people were near Him with their problems, but Jesus was always there to console them. Jesus was there as a helper. Jesus was always had a big arm to console all of them.

  예수님은 십자가로 세상의 모든 사람의 위로자가 되셨습니다.  십자가 아래서 모든 사람들이 짊어지고가야할 질고를 고통을 아픔을  죄악을 다 짊어 지셨습니다.  그리고  시자가 위에 메달려 “ 다이루었도다 ”“ 다이루었도다” 라고 하시면 하나님께서 예수님을 이땅에 보내신 목적을 다 이루었습니다.
 Jesus became the consolation for all of us through the cross. He took all of the difficulties on his back, the difficulties that we had to take our whole lives. And He said “It is finished” at the end, and He really did everything He had to in this world.

  할렐루야!  예수님의 넉넉한 위로가 가득하시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원드립니다
